Can The PS3 Slim Play PS1 Games?
Both PS3s can play PS1 games on the disc or downloaded from the PSN. PS2 disk-based games can only be played in previous PS3 versions. However, Sony recently started introducing “PS2 classics” to the PSN store, playable on all PS3s.
Sony upgraded the console from PlayStation 3 to enable players to stream original PlayStation titles on their newer PS3 now. On April 26, Sony will be offering up-to-date copies of original PlayStation games which will make it possible for users to immediately stream the games from their hard drive PS3 using PS2 HDMI adaptor.
Any Ps3 can play most Ps1 games, if not all. The compatibility with Ps2 was deleted after the Slim model came out and the hardware used with these games has been deleted. Software emulated with Ps1 compatibility on Ps3 was still. Some games can be locked in the area. You have to be ready to go otherwise.
PlayStation 1 and 2
PlayStation 1 and 2 games can be played on the PS4, but they are not really permitted. Sony was the first console in PlayStation and during its generation it witnessed the birth of classic games like Crash Bandicoot, Final Fantasy VII, Resident Evil and many others. At least no, not formally, is the clear response. It would be sufficiently convenient to mount a PS4 disc from a classic game and enjoy, but it is not compatible with PS2 and PS3 disc drives. This is particularly shocking, since Microsoft provides reverse Xbox One compatibility, enabling players to play almost 500 Xbox 360 titles. Players may either insert their own records or buy one from the online game shop of Microsoft.

PlayStation Now, though, does not contain PS1 titles. PS1 games on the PS4 cannot be played without the console being broken, which means customized firmware must be downloaded from the computer. This is usually deemed unwise as it can lead to significant legal consequences as illegitimate games are installed, not to mention the hazard which can present itself for the console.
Only if Sony made a formal software emulator, which enables them to market the traditional games online, would PS1 games be easy accessible. Given their previous remarks regarding the lack of usability concern, this does not appear high on their agenda.
Good news
While classic games can be played on the PS4, not all favorite fan titles, especially those from the PS1 generation, are available. It also has to be taken into account a degree of inconvenience.
